We only offer authentic gemstones from ethical sources! 
We have our own mine - and only work with a few other ethical sources.
That's why we follow the entire supply chain, from the mine to the production and design - so we can guarantee it is ethically sourced gemstones and sustainably produced.

Our jewellery is set with different gemstones to connect you with the beauty and energy of nature - so you can feel empowered!
We are very keen to offer jewellery that will never make you worry about its quality. All our gold pieces are treated using a Micron-plating process, which ensures durability and a shining finish, and protects them against scratches and tarnish.

18k Gold-plated Gemstone Jewellery - 7 to 15 microns of real Gold.

We work with a thickness of 7 to 15 microns. Most gold plated jewellery is 2.5microns, while we work with 3x thicker than the usual 2.5.

Rhodium & Silver jewellery

For our Rhodium jewellery, we use effective rhodium plating to make them waterproof and preserve them from oxidising.

For our Silver jewellery, we use 925 Sterling Silver!


    Materials in Giovanna jewellery

    1. Sterling silver: Sterling silver is a standard material in high quality jewellery. It is precious metal alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals. This is a wonderful base material because it is long-lasting and flexible. 
    2. Copper: an extremely durable metal, copper can hold up well over time, despite any daily wear. It´s part of a percent of our metal base.
    3. 24k Gold: for the first layer, our pre gold-plated, we use 24k Gold.
    4. 18k Gold: high quality gold-plated, plating in a measure of 7 - 15 microns.
    5. 22k Gold: our final touch is 22k gold for a high quality end.
    6. Hypoallergenic:It does not contain nickel or other metals that can cause contact dermatitis or skin irritation for certain people. 

    Sustainability and environmentally friendly resources

    Our pieces are designed in New Zealand. We only work with ethical sources such as our family mine in Brazil.

    Our current sustainability efforts span six areas:

    1. Longevity (product design): We use the highest quality materials so they provide you a long term of enjoyment. That means high quality gold, silver and rhodium.
    2. Sustainably-sourced crystals: Our crystals are all from trustable mines, such as ours, licensed with the federal government and following all environmental standards. Learn more about our mine on our Instagram @nzgiovanna.
    3. 70% reusable water: Our operation reuses a minimum of 70% of the water, repurifying and reusing the water to make your jewellery. The rest of the water is purified to go back to the environment in a clean way.
    4. Recycled packaging materials: Our packaging boxes are made with recycled cardboard, and our packaging is made for long term use to store your jewellery.
    5. Seed paper made to plant and bloom: For our welcome release we send you a seed paper which you can plant and bloom your own daisy! Limited stock.
    6. We use a portion of revenue to plant more trees: We donate part of your purchase directly to plant more trees in the Brazilian rainforest, in the north of Brazil (not our region or our mining resources). In our region, the south Brazil, we plant the areas surrounding our mine.

    Our packaging

    Our Giovanna jewellery pouch bags are made to be reused and made to last. They are perfect to store your jewellery and keep them safe.

    All orders and parcels are sent with recyclable shipping bags and boxes. 
    You also get a special seed paper gift to plant your own flower.
